Richard had two parts first playing a student in Oxford with Michael Lyndsey Hogg directing. Then there was a strike at Granada tv.……all but twenty seconds were cut so that he was able to be cast as Hooper when filming resumed with Charles Sturridge directing. Doreen Jones was the brilliant casting director.
