Set in 1794, Poldark sees our hero traverse new family, new loves and new battles, as the French revolution casts a shadow over life in Cornwall.
Mammoth’s Managing Director, Damien Timmer, calls Poldark “a passion project for all of us” and promises the saga of Ross, his friends and enemies “will go to even more thrilling places” in Season 3.
The new season will be produced by Roopesh Parekh ( The Hollow Crown: The Wars Of The Roses ) and Michael Ray, and directed by Josh Agnew ( Mr Selfridge ) and Stephen Woolfenden ( Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them ). Horsfield continues to serve as executive producer alongside Tom Mullens, Karen Thrussell and Timmer for Mammoth Screen, and Elizabeth Kilgarriff for the BBC.
Series 2 airs on BBC1 from 4th September and on PBS in the USA from 24 September
Series 3 starts filming in Cornwall in September 2016
